STE Languages is a vibrant inter-cultural meeting place. Annually, more than 4,500 students of more than 90 nationalities work on a shared dream: becoming proficient in a foreign language.

In order to respond as well as possible to students’ diverse cultural backgrounds during Dutch lessons, STE Languages’ Dutch teachers attended an “Intercultural Communication” workshop last Friday, given by Annemarie Nuwenhoud, NT-2 teacher and departmental head at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Under the guidance of STE’s Dutch Language Coordinator, Angelique Konings-Groeneyk, it was an interactive, enjoyable, and interesting afternoon.
