The Dutch B1- STEX I Course is a general language skills course, in which all skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) are covered. The aim of the course is to achieve higher language skills. This concerns general Dutch. When listening and speaking, attention is paid to social talk, gathering information (by telephone), giving answers and formulating an opinion. Texts (approx. 300 words) on current topics are used. Writing assignments may include emailing friends, family, and businesses, creating a CV, filling out and summarizing a form and survey. The emphasis is on applying grammar knowledge, with additional and more extensive exercises. The goal is better use of existing grammar knowledge. The tempo of this course is high.
The training courses are given at STE Languages. STE Languages has 16 well-equipped classrooms at its location in Eindhoven. Lessons are face to face or online. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, a face-to-face lesson can be used in the Online Classroom. Books and course materials are provided before the first lesson. The student must take into account 2-4 hours of homework per lesson. To determine the starting level and the personal learning goals of the students, every language course at STE Languages starts with an individual intake. This is a group course.

The cost of the course is €795 excl. VAT. This price includes the intake interview. The cost of course material is not included.
The course concludes with an assessment. If your result is satisfactory, you will receive a certificate. The certificate states the final level achieved in terms of the Common European Framework of Reference.
