From “Hello” to “Houdoe”

The Brainport region Eindhoven is a special place where people from all over the world live, work, and socialise together. We are committed to innovation and progress, but also to something equally important: social connection. With the campaign "Share the language of our home, from Hello to Houdoe”, Brainport Eindhoven, PSV Eindhoven, and partners ASML, Philips, CSU, Jumbo, Royal Swinkels, VDL Groep, and Rabobank want to promote language and connection between newcomers and locals. The goal is to make it easier for internationals to learn Dutch and feel at home by showing PSV players and partners how they embrace and use the language, from the English "Hello" to the Brabantian "Houdoe."

A good conversation starts with speaking the same language as each other. But what if you don't speak the same language? At STE Languages, we welcome over 5,000 students from all over the world. Around 95 nationalities together form a mini society, from football players to dentists and from directors to service employees. Our language courses share a mutual goal: learning a common language and connecting with each other. Our goal is for international students to feel at home in Dutch society and to discover Dutch culture in an open and enjoyable way.

As a proud partner of PSV, we developed a campaign based on the Brabantian "Houdoe" (Houdoe), which will be displayed in LED signage at all PSV home games. This way, we support and endorse the Brainport Eindhoven campaign with a smile and a wink.
