What does the subsidy scheme 'Count with language' entail?

A good command of Dutch is important. Naturally for the Dutch, less self-evident for employees who come from abroad. But those who master the language feel more comfortable and function better. Investing in language skills is therefore good for both employees and employers. To stimulate this, the government has developed the subsidy scheme 'Count with language'. You can receive up to 67% subsidy on Dutch language training.

When does the subsidy scheme 'Tel mee met Taal' start?

The new application period for the Tel mee met Taal subsidy scheme will start on 1 May. Applications can be made up to and including 31 May 2020.

What are the main points of the subsidy scheme 'Tel mee met Taal'?

The most important points for employers at a glance:

  • A subsidy amounts to a maximum of 67% of the eligible costs;
  • A maximum of € 1,500.00 subsidy is available per training program per participant;
  • Participants have a language level lower than B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference or lower than 2F, as used in secondary education;
  • The subsidy can be applied for from 1 May to 30 May;

The subsidy application is made via 'Tel mee met Taal'. The registration form can be found here. However, a subsidy application requires customization; you need insight into the language levels of employees and there must be a solid training plan. STE Languages ​​is happy to support you in this.
