STE Languages heeft als missie cursisten zich zo goed mogelijk thuis te laten voelen in onze regio. We willen bijdragen aan het behoud van alle internationale medewerkers in onze regio, nieuwkomers verwelkomen en zich gelukkig laten voelen. Om dit te realiseren organiseert STE Languages waardevolle events voor haar cursisten. Op 26 april hebben we in samenwerking met Expat Spouses Initiative bij STE Languages onze fameuze Koningsdag Pub Quiz georganiseerd. De Pub Quiz was in voortreffelijke handen van Julinka van Keulen van Number 42 (Unique quizzes with a WOW factor). 

The role of Dutch in daily life “Pushing the boundaries of what is possible.” That is the motto of NTS, a specialist in mechatronics. NTS supplies systems and modules for high-tech machine manufacturers. Pushing boundaries happens in all kinds of ways at NTS: the products are innovative and intended for the global market. The employees come from all corners of the world, which means that linguistic boundaries are also being pushed. NTS is a 'global corporation'. English is the main language, but Dutch is also widely spoken at the Dutch branches. Not only at the coffee machine, but also practical work instructions are often in Dutch.

Expat Spouses Initiative (ESI) and STE Languages have joined forces to stimulate and retain international talent amid a competitive employment market. The aim of the collaboration between ESI and STE Languages is to jointly advance initiatives to develop international talent, and in particular its partners/spouses, with a view to them entering the labour market. The Dutch employment market has an significant need for well-trained professionals and their availability is an important condition for achieving further economic growth. Mastering the Dutch language is very important in order to make good progress towards employment and to get a feeling of being at home.

STE Languages is proud to provide Aviko, a leading food company known for its expertise in potato products, with our language training services. STE Languages has been providing language training for Aviko for several years. We're excited to share that Aviko and STE Languages have recently reaffirmed their collaboration by signing a collaboration agreement.

STE Languages is an 'official partner' of Holland Expat Center South. On April 6th, we participated in the Brabant International Expo Fair, where we met many new Internationals in the Brainport region. We recognise the pivotal role language plays in the integration of trained professionals in the Netherlands, and we are committed to fostering valuable intercultural communication and future growth for the region. 

STE Languages has developed a short, interactive language course at A1-/A1/A1+ levels. The Summer Splash is given face-to-face over 5 half-days in July in our sunny location at Aalsterweg 3 in Eindhoven. The content is tailored to internationals who already have a limited basic knowledge of Dutch. The course starts on the morning of 2 July, and is also given on the morning of 4, 9, 11 & 16 July. Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem of Eindhoven spoke in TV programme VPRO Buitenhof about language deficiency as one of the business and social challenges in both the Netherlands and the Brainport region. The government is committed to economic development in the Brainport region, but also asks companies to help employees who lack Dutch language skills to learn Dutch more quickly.

There are still many Turkish people living in the Eindhoven region who do not yet have good Dutch language skills. This target group does not, or only to a limited extent, speak English which is the support language generally used to learn Dutch. This target group is also difficult to reach. STE Languages has therefore developed, together with the Turkish/Dutch trainer Seyda Turgut, a unique, accessible, Dutch language course with Turkish as the support language.
