There are many international and expat talents in the Eindhoven area who are currently unemployed and looking for the next step in their careers. The Eindhoven Public Library and Holland Expat Center South would like to give these these people a helping hand. They have organised a "Job, Career & Language Lounge" event in the Eindhoven Public Library on 18th June between 11am and 2.30pm. During the afternoon, STE Languages are giving a presentation about the importanance of mastering the Dutch language and what the institute has to offer. See you there!

Ayushi Yadav (28) moved from India to Eindhoven. Learning Dutch was her first priority. 'A very good institute to learn Dutch. I highly recommend STE to everyone who comes to Holland and wants to learn the language. The staff at STE made me feel very welcome. Language plays a very important role and the whole process allowed me to feel more confident, more connected and more at home in the Netherlands.'

In addition to all the hard work in our classrooms, there is also time to organize fun activities at STE Languages. Last week, some of our students paid a visit to the Van Abbemuseum. One of our students is a assistent-curator at the Van Abbemuseum and suggested that they have a guided tour in Dutch. The teacher thought this was an excellent initiative; in this way Dutch would be spoken in an authentic, interactive way. At STE Languages we are always open to this sort of great idea from our students.

Since February 2021, the complete range of STE Languages courses has become part of the training platform Opleiding.nl for the Randstad group (employment agencies Randstad and Tempo Team). This means that STE Languages is now able to offer training courses to more than 185,000 employees from the Randstad Group. Now that this collaboration has been expanded, we can be found by large corporate companies that are affiliated with Opleiding.nl.

STE Languages ​​has partnered with "Huis naar Werk". "Huis naar Werk" is an initiative from the Einghoven Municipality, SBB, UWV, trade unions and employers' organizations to offer targeted help for everyone - employer and employee - who is looking for work or personnel. The reason for this initiative is the fragmented labour market that has developed over the years. "Huis naar Werk" intends to change this. In this way a "home" is created for entrepreneurs who are looking for workers and for people who are looking for employment and who have questions about work, training and development.

On 20 January, the STE Management received a voucher from Alderman Stijn Steenbakkers for a digitization project with which STE can optimize the development of its management reporting within a new course administration system.

APG is the largest pension administration organization in the Netherlands. Miriam Crutzen is APG’s Head of Business & Performance Control. In that role she works with colleagues of different nationalities and English is the official language. To strengthen her language skills, she followed an individual English training course at STE.

Individuals who want to work on specific language skills will benefit greatly from individual training. Mieke Groenewegen, until recently Managing Director at APG, experienced this. At STE Languages she started working with a teacher who explicitly anticipated her development needs which soon paid off.
